ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR JUNE 29, 2008 PETER’S PENCE. Today’s second collection is for the Holy Father. Your contributions to the Peter’s Pence Collection allows the Holy Father to respond with timely and effective emergency assistance to our brothers and sisters throughout the world. Thus, in solidarity with the Pope, we Catholics participate in works of goodness that distinguish us as followers of the Gospel. Please be generous.
OUR CONDOLENCES to Gladys Félix and family on the death of her sister "Lulú". May her soul and the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. May our Lord Jesus take her to the glory of his Kingdom and give her family comfort and peace.
SECOND COLLECTION. Next weekend, July 5-6, we will have a second collection to support our Religious Education Program. Please be generous.
REGISTRATION FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION is from Tuesday to Friday in the trailer, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. beginning on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Please bring your child’s baptism certificate when you come to register.
JUST A REMINDER. During the summer, many people go away for a period of renewal and enjoyment. The financial obligations of the parish, on the other hand, stay with us all year. Please remember to use your envelopes during the summer. Your help is much needed and will be greatly appreciated.
PLENARY INDULGENCE. The Christian faithful of the various local Churches, having fulfilled the required conditions (sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion, prayers for the Supreme Pontiff’s intentions) and in a spirit of total detachment from any inclination to sin, may benefit from the Plenary Indulgence if they take part devoutly in a sacred function or in a pious public exercise in honor of the Apostle to the Gentiles; on the days of the solemn opening and closure of the Pauline Year, in all the sacred places; on other days specified by the local Ordinary, in holy places dedicated to St Paul and, for the convenience of the faithful, in other places designated by the same Ordinary. OBRAS DEL SATO PADRE. Nuestra segunda colecta de hoy es para las Obras del Santo Padre, la cual permite al Santo Padre responder con asistencia de emergencia oportuna y eficaz a nuestros hermanos y hermanas que sufren en el mundo entero.

LA MATRICUAL PARA LAS CLASES DE CATECISMO se llevará a cabo de martes a viernes de 8 a 11 de la mañana en el trailer, comenzando el martes 8 de julio. Les pedimos que traigan el certificado de bautismo de sus niños cuando vengan a apuntarlos.
RECORDATORIO. Durante el verano, muchas personas se van por un periodo de tiempo para renovárse y disfrutar. Por otro lado, las obligaciones financiéras de la parroquia las tenemos todo el año. Les recordamos que usen sus sobres durante el verano. Su ayuda es muy apreciada y necesitada.
INDULGENCIA PLENARIA. Los fieles cristianos de las diversas Iglesias locales, una vez cumplidas las condiciones habituales (confesión sacramental, Comunión eucarística y oración según las intenciones del Sumo Pontífice), excluido cualquier apego al pecado, podrán lucrar la indulgencia plenaria si participan devotamente en una función sagrada o en un ejercicio piadoso realizados públicamente en honor del Apóstol de los gentiles: los días de la inauguración solemne y la clausura del Año paulino, en todos los lugares sagrados; en otros días determinados por el Ordinario del lugar, en los lugares sagrados dedicados a san Pablo y, para utilidad de los fieles, en otros designados por el mismo Ordinario.
